About Team
They are a team of IT (Information Technologies) professionals from Seagate. They are responsible for creating and implementing data-driven solutions to support business decisions and operations. The use of AI and ML allows for real-time data analysis and decision-making, predictive maintenance, and the optimization of production processes. We collaborate with the business teams to harness the full potential of Industry 4.0 – Real-time control, IoT, Big Data and Analytics, Automation and Artificial Intelligence to support the “Smart Factory” initiative, to make better decisions and maximize operational excellence.
Role
- Focus on developing a Machine Learning model for defect detection and defect pattern classification using images collected from equipment.
- The inference result will provide feedback to equipment for defective parts removal and the classification results will be used for root cause analysis.
- Work with our Data Scientist and Data Engineers to develop solutions based on machine learning methods, to enable live inferencing by integrating the inference pipeline with the factory system.
- The inferencing will either be hosted in the Data Center or at the Edge (near to or on equipment)

Required Technical Skill Sets
- A highly passionate about data science and want to apply AI/machine learning/deep learning techniques to solve real-world problems.
- Self-motivated, independent and a team player with strong analytical skills.
- Good at Python programming.
- Familiarity with AI Machine learning techniques, frameworks, and libraries.
