About the Anglia Ruskin University
Anglia Ruskin University is one of the largest modern universities in the east of England, with four faculties and six research institutes. Our root dates back to 1858 when the art critic John Ruskin opened the Cambridge School of Art which is part of our Cambridge campus now. As well as Cambridge, we have campuses in Chelmsford, London and Peterborough. Our early expertise in the arts and education has broadened, and today we offer courses in computing and technology, engineering, law, business, economics, life sciences and more. We’ve been a leader in the field of health and social care since 1992, with the most recent major development as our School of Medicine opened in September 2018.
Award value
- In partnership with the British Council, we’re offering the five Women In STEM Scholarship to female students from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
- The full scholarship includes tuition fees, airfare, monthly living stipend, and a Career Development Bursary. There is an additional financial allowance for applicants who have children.
- After starting the course, you will have access to a £2,000 Career Development Bursary which can be used to support your networking and fund additional training or similar professional activities to maximise your time in the UK.
Eligibility
- Applicants for the Women In STEM Scholarship must:
- ARU, supported by the British Council, is excited to offer five fully funded postgraduate scholarships for female students (including those who identify as female) to study engineering.
- The scholarships are available to students from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Deadline
Applications to the course and the scholarship form must be submitted before 12pm (midday) BST on 8 April 2024.
How to apply?
- After checking you meet the academic entry requirements for the course and that you are eligible for scholarship, apply to your Masters course online:
- MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering
- MSc Mechanical Engineering
- MSc Engineering Management
- MSc Construction Project Management
- MSc Construction and Civil Engineering Management
- You must apply for your preferred course before applying for the scholarship.
- Once you’ve applied for the course, fill in the scholarship application form below.
- You must hold a formal offer from the ARU admissions team by 17.00 on 10 May 2024 to be considered for the scholarship. Successful applicants will be notified in mid June. All conditions of the offer, including English language, must be met by 19 June 2024.
