Responsibilities: Technical Internship

Interns at Cadence play a crucial role in bringing new creative ideas to Cadence and helping us in our pursuit to solve cutting-edge technical challenges. Interns are part of project teams and are expected to learn the respective tools, flow & associated technologies on the job. The interns are assigned a mentor / manager who continually help and guide them during this learning process. During this training, the interns get an opportunity to work on multiple live assignments to learn the workings of the actual tool. They also get to learn the nuances of working in a team and the corporate world.

Position Requirements

  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of instructional methodologies, and industry design standards to design and develop interactive learning for a variety of delivery methods.
  • Project Management: Ability to set priorities, goals and timelines to achieve maximum productivity. Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Reviews all new and revised micro learning assets from subject matter experts, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement, geared to engage learners and break down topics to simple reusable learning blocks.
  • Communication Skills: Provides regular, clear, concise, and meaningful information to appropriate parties; listens carefully to others and ensures message is understood by tailoring communication style to recipient needs; shows the ability to work with remote teams.
  • Work Style: Must have the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel production, be detail-oriented, and able to adjust to fluctuating priorities.
  • Creativity: Applies original or innovative thinking to improve processes, methods, systems and products or services.
  • Customer Orientation: Demonstrates eagerness to assist customer needs while being cautious enough not to promise more than can be delivered.
  • Software and Computer Skills: Some awareness in eLearning software programs such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Captivate or Camtasia. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint. Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook and Word to effectively communicate and update training materials.
  • Education and/or certification in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field is preferred.
  • 0-1 years’ experience in developing content suited for multiple delivery channels (self-paced training materials, online virtual classes, and instructor-led classes)
  • Background in STEM fields is not required but is a nice to have.
