- As a Test Solutions Engineering, SDET at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for the developing the efficient and reliable code for testing and debugging of die/wafer/packaged products for the functionality & reliability test of sophisticated semiconductor memory devices such as NAND, mNAND, DRAM.
- You are responsible to innovate, build effective processes and systems for overall Micron Development Engineering in Test & Assembly manufacturing unit thereby driving Best-in-Class Quality.
- We develop embedded and interface software, analyze schematics, review PCB layouts, prototype circuits, debug hardware, automate testing, develop user libraries to control hardware, and create documentation and maintaining software applications.
- We work closely with controls and electrical engineers to deliver command and control solutions for test equipment.
- We write code primarily in C, C++, and Python in the Linux environment for various microcontrollers and computing modules acting as the interface to custom hardware.
- You shall work closely within the Technology and Products Group to develop Micron’s future memory technology.
- Your role is to ensure Process, Design and Product Engineering have the feedback incorporated in the test flow to improve the technology and thereby minimize time to market.
- Through strong collaboration and innovation, you need to minimize the test time through measurable data analysis keeping the quality deliverable and thus enable Micron’s continued success as a technology leader.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Software Development Engineering in Testing and testing framework
- Build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code for the hardware interface environment
- Passionate for working on developing high performance code or designing testing framework
- Knowledge in designing and coding applications using object-oriented principles
- Inquisitiveness for coding, testing, and correcting already written code
- Drive new Design for Test (DFT) strategies
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and control engineers in the design and bring-up of next-generation memory testers
- New product development Probe flow development & validation
- Solving probe binning issues along with stakeholder from New product development phase to High volume material phase
- Contributions to all major quality milestones achievement
- Manage KPI of yield improvement & Test Time
- Managing escalation and deviation from internal and external stakeholders
- Test coverage are jointly developed along with other teams
- New Design changes evaluation and validation
- Support customer and internal audits.
- Driving Tester capacity impact and readiness
- Device yield, reliability and quality through test condition optimization, advanced redundancy analysis schemes, data analysis and test equipment hardware optimization
- Develop documentation on part, program, and process related issues
- Identify areas of productivity and automation
- SharePoint/JIRA and relevant portals
Education and Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering.
- Software Development engineer in Test with proficiency in programming with strong semiconductor background
- Strong Proficiency in programming skills: C/C++/Python/Perl
- Strong working knowledge in STLC framework is mandatory
- Good understanding of semiconductor device physics
- A strong drive to innovate
- Keen attention to details and break the code/software to make it a bug free product
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environment will be an added advantage
- Exposure to data analysis tools such as Tableau is desirable
- Experience in process engineering on New Product Development is a plus point
- Multi-tasker with good communication skills and able to influence stakeholders in complex network and drive for alignment
- Inquisitive and with an eye for detail, proven track record in successful probing during problem solving and root cause investigation and analysis, able to think out of the box, and ability to navigate out of deadlock situation
- Strong organization skill and good hands on in Project Management
- Solid analytical problem-solving skills/debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, multifaceted, environment
