About IIT Tirupati
The Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati), established in 2015, has significant potential to emerge as an esteemed academic and research institution. It is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and has been designated as an Institute of National Importance by the Indian Parliament through the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961.
The IIT system consists of 23 Institutes of Technology, renowned globally for their excellence in education and research in engineering and science. Known for their distinguished faculty and top-tier students, the IITs admit students through the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). With world-class infrastructure and internationally recognized research, IITs have produced graduates who have made significant impacts in various sectors worldwide.
Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, part of the third phase of IITs announced in 2014, began operations in 2015 with support from IIT Madras. It started offering B.Tech programs in Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Over the years, the institute has expanded its offerings to include MS, Ph.D., M.Tech, M.Sc., and a Master of Public Policy program, meeting the growing demand for policy professionals. The curriculum focuses on theoretical knowledge, practical laboratories, and skills such as innovation, teamwork, and communication.
Eligibility
- Pre-final year students of B.E/ B.Tech/
- B.Sc/ M.Sc/ B.A/ M.A or equivalent fromany recognized University.

Support and Stipend
