About Indian Oil
Indian Oil is India’s largest commercial enterprise, accounting for nearly half of the country’s petroleum products market share. Incorporated in 1959 (as Indian Oil Company Ltd.) and renamed in 1964, it now holds ~35 % of national refining capacity and ~71 % of downstream sector pipelines capacity in India.
The Guwahati Refinery (Noonmati, Guwahati, Assam 781020) hosts a dedicated Learning & Development Centre that will be the venue for this internship.

Internship Details
- Registration period: 15 October 2025 to 15 November 2025.
- Training batches:
- Batch 1: Starting 15 December 2025
- Batch 2: Starting 1 January 2026
- Mode: Physical attendance at the Guwahati facility. Selected candidates will be notified via confirmation email.
Who Should Apply?
This is ideal for engineering or master-degree students who:
- Are keen on learning in a real-industrial setting,
- Can commit to being physically present during the training period,
- Can secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their college (format provided) and fulfil the undertaking conditions.
Application Procedure

- Download the relevant documents: Application form, application-filling procedure, NOC formats (for Engineering and Master’s students separately), sample NOC, and undertaking.
- Complete the online registration (via Institute/Student portal) between 15 Oct and 15 Nov.
- Ensure your college issues the NOC (on official letter-head and signed by HOD) before submission.
- After selection, await the confirmation email with details about reporting date, travel, accommodation (if any), and rules of conduct.
