About IIT Courses

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in India offer a variety of courses, primarily in science, engineering and technology at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctoral (PhD) levels. In addition, 23 IITs in India offer over 250 Bachelor of Technology. These IITs have 9,600+ and 2,500+ seats at the BTech and MTech levels.

IIT Courses After 12th for Science Students

Bachelor of Science (BSc) program

IIT offers a four-year BSc program in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. These courses provide a solid foundation in their discipline and offer integrated systems combining science and engineering.

Admission Process for BSc/BS Degree in Data Science from IIT Madras

Who can apply for admission?

Anyone who has passed Class 12 or equivalent can apply irrespective of age or academic background. Those who qualify can join the program immediately. View the list of accepted class 12 equivalents.
School students who have appeared for their Class 11 final exams can apply irrespective of their group/stream/board. Those who qualify can join the program after passing Class 12.

It is expected that the applicants have studied Mathematics and English in Class 10. No additional eligibility is other than the ones mentioned above is required to apply for the qualifier process or join the foundational level courses after clearing the qualifying exam.

Application Process & Fee

Applications for the batch starting May 2023 are now open. Apply Now.
Anyone who is eligible may start applying by filling in a simple application form and paying the application fee
General Category / OBC Applicant: ₹3000 application fee
SC / ST Category / PwD (>= 40% disability ) Applicant: ₹1500 application fee
SC / ST Category Applicant who is ALSO PwD (>= 40% disability ): ₹750 application fee

Admission to the Foundation Level

Regular entry: All candidates, irrespective of their backgrounds, can earn admission to the Foundation Level by successfully completing the qualifier process.
JEE-based entry: Candidates eligible to appear for the most recent JEE Advanced are directly admitted to the Foundation Level.

Integrated Master’s

IIT offers a five-year Integrated Master in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
These courses are designed for students who wish to research or teach in these areas.
