About IIT Hyderabad PhD Programme
The PhD programmes offered in various disciplines and streams by different departments of the institute are based on written tests and interviews.
Direct admission to PhD for CFTI Students without GATE:
- B.Tech.Graduates from CFTIs with a CGPA of 8.0 or more, are eligible for applying to PhD programs at IIT Hyderabad without GATE.
- Students having CGPA lower than 8.0, need a GATE qualification to apply to PhD Program.
- Those who wish to avail/be selected for Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) at IIT Hyderabad, should apply for regular PhD admissions to IIT Hyderabad on this portal.
