About VITEEE 2023
Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in the VIT group of Institutions.
Exam Pattern
- VITEEE will be conducted between 17 and 23 April 2023 at designated centres across India and abroad. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE.
- All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right and 0 for the wrong answer.
- There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions).
- The question paper will be in English only.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on the rank secured through CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023.
- Selected candidates can participate in online counselling based on their ranking.
- They can give options for specific campuses, programmes and categories of fees.
- Allotment will be based on the matching of the rank obtained and available options.
- Candidates with ranks up to 1 Lakh are eligible for counselling at Vellore and Chennai campuses.
- VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates after completing the tuition fee payment on or before the stipulated date.
- Candidates are required to produce documents on the day of coming to the campus or as and when asked for, by the Office of Admissions.
- Provisional Admission offered during counselling will be valid ONLY if the eligibility is fulfilled.
- In case of a situation wherein the eligibility criteria are not applicable, the decision of the VIT will be final.

How to Apply?
Step 1 New User Registration
- A valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.
- Enter all the relevant details carefully.
- An OTP will be sent to your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification.
- Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address.
- All correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.
Step 2 Sign in for Registered users
Login with the registered email address and the password received from VIT.
Step 3 Filling Online application form
- Fill in the relevant fields carefully. An Application Number will be generated after filling in the primary details.
- Refer to this application number in all your future correspondence.
Step 4 Payment
- Application cost of Rs.1350 should be paid through Net Banking Account/ Credit/ Debit Card/ Paytm
- For Abroad test centre: Equivalent to USD 90 in INR
- Application cost is non-refundable
