About CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum especially from class 9 to 12. The current Chairperson of CBSE is Rahul Singh, IAS.

As you are aware that the School Innovation Contest, a part of the School Innovation Council (SIC), was launched on 28th August 2023 to motivate, handhold, and nurture school students’ bright ideas and Innovations and fund the selected innovations to build Products/Technologies/Startups.
So far, more than 25,000 teachers have completed the School Innovation Ambassador Program and more than 5,100 schools have registered for the School Innovation Council.
To nurture the innovation, design, and entrepreneurial skills of teachers from schools, two-days’ “Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamps” for School Teachers and Innovation Ambassadors will be organised in various parts of the country as per the below-mentioned schedule:

The IDE Bootcamps and Regional Mentoring Sessions are jointly organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), and the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT).
Principals of all CBSE-affiliated schools must nominate a teacher from their school to participate in the Bootcamps & Regional Mentoring Sessions by registering through the link mentioned above on or before 8th November 2024.
The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell will inform the selected teachers through email for the IDE Bootcamps & Regional Mentoring.
Please Note:
- Fee: There is No Registration fee for participation.
- Who can register: Teams participated in the School Innovation Contest, and School Innovation Marathon, schools registered for the School Innovation Council, Innovation Ambassadors, participants in hackathons and skill expos, and teachers involved / interested in innovation-related activities. (As limited seats are available and participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.)
- Travelling arrangement/ reimbursement: Sleeper Class train or bus on reimbursement mode, Accommodation (on a first come, first serve basis for outstation participants only), and Food will be provided to the participants.
