Job Description
The duration of the Engineering Intern program will be 3 months.
In this role, you will work with cross functional teams ranging from PON, Ethernet switching and routing software, subscriber management for Triple Play services, performance monitoring to network management to build, integrate, end-to-end solution test within a large-scale system.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in technical discussions within engineering group in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team.
- Creating the required accompanying technical documentation.
- Add features to the existing frameworks.
- Support test strategy in both end-to-end solution and functional testing.
- Help in conducting End-to-end Solution testing and developing end-user documentation, Wiki & Confluence.
- Understand how to use third party tools – Spirent, EXFO, Ookla, Linux to run tests and measure results.
- Contribute to identify & solution process improvement opportunities, identify issues and risks.
Requirements
- Familiar with Linux, x86 virtualization and Inter-process communication is necessary.
- Familiar with any of the programming languages like Java, C/C++ and scripting language like Python.
- Ability to understand basic concepts of Computer Networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSI model, L2 Switching and L3 Routing concepts).
- Familiar with Protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, VLAN’s, NTP, xSTP, DHCP, DNS is necessary.
- Familiar in programming in a multi-thread/multi-process environment is necessary.
- Must understand basic computer programming concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiar with source control applications such as GIT.
- Strong communication skills and excellent telephone presence.
- Organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to think and work independently.
- Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge in working with Linux & Windows Operating systems.
- Bachelors or master’s in computer science / information technology/ Electronics & communication / Electrical & Electronics. Should have graduated in 2023 / 2024
