About Summer Research Program

  • The National Science Foundation (NSF), United States funded 8- a week summer research program under International Research Experience for USA Students and is scheduled from June 05 – July 28, 2023, at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi), Himachal Pradesh, India.
  • We are inviting applications from Indian students to participate in this research program
  • If selected, participating Indian students will be paired with students visiting from the USA to work collaboratively.
  • The groups are expected to work on an assigned project during these 8 weeks. The program will include research on additive manufacturing with a focus on using design thinking methods, security considerations, and applications of machine learning.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate students from any branch currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program who are going to complete the 4th and 6th semesters by Summer 2023.
  • Good academic credentials.

Period of the Project

The duration of program may commence from June 05 – July 28, 2023.

Registration Deadline

April 07, 2023, 10:00 pm.

Location

Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi.

Important Note

  • This summer research program will not pay any stipend.
  • The participating students do not need to pay any registration fee.
  • Students will have to bear the travel and accommodation costs during their stay at IIT Mandi.
