Internship at DRDO 2023 [70+ Apprenticeship Training Vacancies; Stipend Upto Rs. 12K; Duration of 12 Months]: Apply by May 30

Armament Research and Development Establishment and DRDO invite Graduate, Diploma holders for Internship at DRDO 2023 under the Apprenticeship training program. Apply before May 30, 2023.

About DRDO

The Defence Research and Development Organisation is the premier agency under the Department of Defence Research and Development in the Ministry of Defence of the Government of India, charged with the military’s research and development, headquartered in Delhi, India.

Apprenticeship Training Scheme

A. Category – Graduate Engineer Apprentices

B. Category – Diploma Apprentices

Note: The number of positions mentioned above is indicative and may increase or decrease
without prior notice.

Educational Qualification

• CATEGORY – 1: GRADUATE APPRENTICES: First Class Engineering Degree (full-time course) in the respective discipline with at least a 6.3 CGPA from a recognized Indian University/Institute (relaxed to a minimum of 5.3 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates and relaxation applicable for reserved posts only).
• CATEGORY – 2: TECHNICIAN (DIPLOMA) APPRENTICES: First Class Diploma in Engineering obtained from the State Board of Technical Education/recognized Indian University (full-time course) in the respective discipline with 60% marks (relaxed to 50% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates wherein relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates only).

Duration

The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of 12 months as per Apprentices Act 1961. Certificate of Proficiency will be issued to pass candidates after 12 months from the date of execution of the contract.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the respective discipline qualifying examination. The final merit list would be prepared according to categories General/ SC / ST / OBC/PwD on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination. The written examination will be conducted in the 1st week of June 2023 depending on the trade applied. Post-screening of the online application, shortlisted candidates will be intimated to appear for a written examination.
• The offline examination will consist of:
  • General reasoning
  • English, Maths
  • subject-related questions.
• Engagement for apprenticeship training will be subject to the selected candidates clearing the medical examination national and Police Verification.
• Furnishing incomplete/incorrect/misleading/illegible documents, information, or any other invalid data/inputs may result in the rejection of the application, and an appeal for reconsideration will not be entertained.
• The entrance examination will be held at ARDE, Pune, or at a suitable place in Pune allotted by the third-party aggregator. Exact dates will be intimated to the applicants in due course of time.
• It is mandatory to submit the following documents/information online along with the application:
  • (i) Diploma/Degree certificate and mark sheet
  • (ii) High school/equivalent certificate and mark sheet
  • (iii) PwD certificate (if applicable)
  • (iv) Recent passport-size photograph
  • (v) Aadhar card
  • (vi) PAN Card
  • (vii) Individual’s signature on plane white paper
  • (viii) Email ID

Steps to Apply

• Those who have already enrolled on the National Web Portal and have login details:
  • Click Establishment Request Menu and Click Find Establishment
  • Upload your Resume and Choose the Establishment name
  • Type “ARMAMENT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT” or “WMHPUC000042” and search and then apply.
• Candidates who have not enrolled on the National Web Portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in:
  • Go to www.mhrdnats.gov.in for a Graduate or Diploma.
  • Click Enroll.
  • Fill out the application form.
  • A unique Enrolment Number for each student will be generated and note the enrolment number.
  • upload the relevant document.
  • Check & submit the filled form.

Important Notes

• No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. However, selected candidates can have lunch, tea, snacks, etc at the canteen facility of ARDE On a payment basis.
• Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period ARDE shall have no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices nor can an apprentice claim the right for employment on the grounds of completion of the Apprenticeship.
• Candidates must have taken fully vaccinated 02 doses & Booster dose/Precaution dose at the time of coming for the examination. Candidates must carry with them the covid-19 vaccination certificate issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
• Candidates reporting for the entrance examination nation should take strict COVID preventive measures like carrying hand sanitizers, wearing face masks, social distancing, etc. The candidates will be self-contained with individual water bottles and meals.
• Stationery items such as clipboards, pens, pencils, etc are to be brought by the candidates.
• TA/DA and boarding/lodging facilities will not be provided by TPA or by ARDE, Pune.
• Incomplete/erroneous online applications received after the due date will be rejected.
