Job Descriptions
- This position involves the study and development of High Current Models of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Devices (FETs, Diodes and SCRs) that are used in Protection Circuits.
- The intern will have the holistic experience of examining how the fabrication process, device design (involving TCAD), measurements and PDK (Process Development Kit) model enablement come together to deliver the next-generation technologies at GF.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the Technology Development, Measurement Lab and Modeling Teams to understand the flow of Design and Data information.
- Use modelling tools like Cadence and Simulators (Spectre and HSPICE) for model parameter extraction and testing.
- Use of TCAD for the study of device behaviour (Thermal and Electrical) and Failure Physics.
- Employ in-house Automation tools to examine the model quality.
Qualifications
- Education – Actively pursuing a Master/Ph.D in Electronics, VLSI, Semiconductor Physics or a related field.
- Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
