About MeitY

Digital India Corporation (DIC) has been set up by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, to innovate, develop, and deploy ICT and other emerging technologies for the benefit of the common man. It is a not-for-profit Company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.

Job Details

  • The primary focus would be to use CSS (and CSS pre-processors, such as Less and Sass) to create web applications and app layouts that match designer visions at a range of screen resolutions and use ARIA and other HTML attributes to create websites that support accessibility options.
  • You will be under probation for the first 3 months from the date of joining.
  • It is not mandatory for MyGov to absorb you or offer you a regular contract after the completion of the probation period.
  • The period of probation can be reduced or increased by MyGov and shall be solely based on your performance.
  • After the successful completion of the initial contract period, the regular contract will be given.

Key Requirements

  • Use ARIA and other HTML attributes to create websites that support accessibility options.
  • Use W3C Markup Validation Service and CSS Validation Service to ensure all layouts comply with W3C standards.

Required Skill Sets

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, web APIs, and other front-end technologies.
  • Experience using CSS tools and frameworks such as Bootstrap and Semantic UI
  • Understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with, and an understanding of, the WordPress platform
  • Familiarity with using Photoshop and other image-editing software

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality HTML files based on the latest HTML5 and W3C standards
  • Use CSS (and CSS pre-processors, such as Less and Sass) to create web applications and app layouts that match designer visions at a range of screen resolutions
