Responsibilities
As a Product Area Lead within the Cloud Platform Tech Area, you will be responsible for plan for and deliver the Cloud Platform strategy and manage the backlog at the Tribe level, drive high performance and co-ordinate interdependencies between Squads.
Most importantly you will also be driving a positive working culture within the Cloud Platforms teams. This role has chapter lead responsibilities for a chapter of product owners across AWS, GCP, Azure and Container Platforms in one of Australia’s largest financial institutions.
You will proactively manage and blending the strategic Product Roadmaps of various platforms by keeping on top of planned and unplanned work, alignment to strategy and roadmap, managing dependencies, making priority calls, financial planning, reporting progress and anything else that ensures a smooth pipeline of work.
In addition, you will run point on product delivery and support for the production service. To do all this effectively requires exceptional stakeholder management both inwards (platform and wider team) and outwards (customers and ANZ teams in cloud ecosystem like Cyber Defence, Identity and Access Management, Architecture and Program Delivery similar teams), building trust with your subject matter expertise, and most importantly providing air cover for your platform teams to do their work.
Eligibility Criteria
- Knowledge and experience in the practices of Product Management and SaFE/Agile.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Exposure to Cloud technology at scale and have experience with AWS, GCP, Azure and/or Container Platforms.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud security controls are an advantage.
- Technical background to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to ask for and give feedback.
- Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest technologies and pivot where necessary.
