About NCL

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Singrauli is a major contributor towards fulfilling the energy requirement of the nation. NCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited, under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India and Mini Ratna (Category-I) company since 2007.

NCL operates primarily with the objective of producing coal with due regard to social upliftment, sustainable development and environmental gradation.

  • It is an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certified company.
  • The organization’s main products include non-coking coal in the range of grades G5 to G13 besides ‘De-shale Coal’ and the ‘Coal Rejects’.
  • About 86% of the coal produced is dispatched to Power Sector. NCL has a share of about 15% in the nation’s total coal production i.e. a contribution of about 10% in total power generation.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply
  • Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as of the Cut-off date i.e. 30/06/2023.
  • That is, the Candidate/Applicant should have been born on or between 01/07/1997 to 01/07/2005
  • The upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for the Slots/Seats reserved for them.
  • Candidates belonging to PwBD categories shall be given age relaxation of upto 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates)

How to Apply?

  • Candidate meeting the above-prescribed eligibility criteria should visit our NCL website and apply online following the schedule provided below.
  • Paper-based applications will not be accepted.
  • Candidate has to visit the NCL website and then follow the path, Home Page>Menu>Career>Apprenticeship Training, for applying online.
  • Firstly, a candidate has to register themselves on the Online portal and create an online account for which they are required to have a valid mobile number and a valid email.
  • After registering successfully they may apply for the positions of which they are fulfilling the eligibility criterion.
  • Candidate has to provide all relevant details like Date of Birth, Name as available in Matriculation certificate, Address for correspondence, permanent address, Academic details, Scanned photograph, Scanned Signature etc.
  • After successfully filling out the online form they have to confirm a declaration and he/she must go through the details provided in the preview before final submission.
  • After the final submission of the online application candidate must save a Hard and soft copy of his/her online application for future purposes.
