Data Science Intern – Retail Media Management (RMM)

The RMM team at CommerceIQ is leading the way in leveraging data to influence decision-making and drive business success. This team is tasked with creating methodologies to optimize the advertising budgets of clients, ensuring the most efficient use of resources. Currently, they are seeking a talented and dedicated Data Science Intern to join the team and contribute their skills, innovative ideas, and passion for data in this dynamic environment.

Profile Overview

The Data Science Intern will collaborate closely with experienced data scientists within the Retail Media Management team. Using Python, SQL, and proprietary tools, the intern will develop data science models to address complex business challenges such as bid recommendations, campaign budget allocation, and more. The role will involve conducting detailed data analyses, reviewing results, executing proof-of-concepts (POCs), and deploying effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine data science models using Python and SQL to solve business problems.
  • Conduct thorough data analyses to extract meaningful insights and inform business decisions.
  • Develop methodologies to spend advertising budgets effectively for our clients.
  • Perform detailed validation and interpretation of model results and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Create proof-of-concepts to test and demonstrate new strategies or techniques.
  • Use in-house tools to deploy data science solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the RMM team, and participate in cross-functional projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of data science methodologies, principles, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
