Job Description: Engineering Internship
GlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated, self-driven intern to work on software and tools used for modeling. This work will involve enhancing existing tools/scripts, as well as developing new ones which are used to do QA of semiconductor models. This requires strong coding background and expertise in python. Knowledge of perl and shell is desirable. Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics of devices (MOSFET) is also needed.

Responsibilities
- The candidate should be able to get started in various existing perl, shell and python codes.
- Understand and enhance them as per specifications and develop new codes where necessary.
- The code should conform to software development best practices in structure and documentation.
- The candidate should be familiar with the electrical behaviors of semiconductor devices and simulations.
- Fluency in English language (written & verbal), possess good communication skills and be able to work across geographies and time zones.
- The candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision and should have requisite coding and debugging skills.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- M.E / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or related field.
- Proven interest in semiconductor design, with a focus on digital and analog circuits.
