Job Description

  • Join us for a 10-12 week paid internship that offers personal and professional development, and community-building.
  • The Software Engineering Internship program will give you an opportunity to work on computer science solutions, develop scalable, distributed software systems, and collaborate on multitudes of smaller projects that have universal appeal.
  • Our engineers create, fix, extend, and scale code to keep it working against all the bad actors on the internet.
  • You will work on software development projects to keep important business-critical systems up and running, from code-level troubleshooting of traffic anomalies to maintenance of services and monitoring/alerts to building automation infrastructure.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience in software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
  • Experience in systems software or algorithms.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows environments and APIs.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP and network programming.
  • Excellent implementation skills (e.g., C++, Java, Python).

When my internship will start or what the potential start date be?

Internships are usually 12-14 weeks long. Start and end times can vary by role — check with your recruiter regarding your precise start and end dates

Do I need to be enrolled in a full-time course load to be eligible for an internship?

This varies by internship. For the course load requirements for your specific internship opportunity, refer to the job description on our careers site. Depending on the type of internship and location, you may still be eligible if you aren’t currently enrolled in a full-time course load.

I’ve applied for an internship before. Is the application process any different for me?

The process for all applicants is the same, regardless of how far you previously progressed in the interview process.

I’m currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (BA/BS internship), but I have been accepted and plan to attend a master’s program (MS internship) after obtaining my degree. Can I be considered for an MS role?

Yes. Please explicitly state your intention to attend a master’s degree program on your resume, including the school and your tentative graduation date. Please also attach your most recent transcripts and/or course lists.
