About the Internship
Are you passionate about urban mobility, AI/ML, and real-time data systems? IIT Bombay is inviting applications for a 6-month research internship focused on developing a Real-Time Data Integration Tool for Urban Transit Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities
- The project involves:
- Integrating multi-source data (GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CDRs, CCTV, GTFS)
- Applying AI/ML techniques for transport mode detection, demand forecasting, and data fusion
- Feeding real-time data into the Four-Step Transport Planning Model
- Developing interactive dashboards and scalable analytics tools
Qualifications
- Location: IIT Bombay / Remote (flexible)
- Stipend: commensurating up to ₹20,000/month
- Supervisor: Prof. Archak Mittal and Prof. Avijit Maji
- Final-year undergraduates, master’s students, or early-stage PhD researchers in Transportation, CS, Data Science, or Urban Planning are encouraged to apply.
