About CSIR-CMERI
The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) is the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Being the only national level research institute in this field, CMERI·s mandate is to serve industry and develop mechanical engineering technology so that India·s dependence on foreign collaboration is substantially reduced in strategic and economy sectors. Besides, the institute is facilitating innovations and inventions for establishing the claims of Indian talent in international fields where Indian products shall ultimately compete.
Eligibility Criteria
- Student should be pursuing engineering in a recognized college/university.
- Student should be in 6th or higher semester.
- Student should have passed both his/her board examinations of class X and class XII with satisfactory marks, preferably securing 1st Division/Class.
- Student’s CGPA up to the last semester examination passed in the B.E./B.Tech. course of study has to be at least 7.5.
Duration
The internship has a duration of 4 to 8 weeks in from May to July 2025.
Application Procedure
- Applications are to be submitted by post or by hand delivery to the institute’s address.
- The envelope containing the application is to be superscribed as “SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME at CSIR–CMERI, 2025”.
- Submission of application is not allowed after the due date.
- Recommendation letter from the head of the department.
- marklists of class X, class XII and College Exams.
- Bio-Data.
Selection Procedure
- Students will be selected on the basis of institute’s requirement.
- The list of selected candidates will be notified on institute’s official website by last week of April, 2025.
