About NRSC
National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the primary centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS). NRSC has the mandate for establishment of ground stations for receiving satellite data, generation of data products, dissemination to the users, development of techniques for remote sensing applications including disaster management support, geospatial services for good governance and capacity building for professionals, faculty and students.
Eligibility conditions & Duration – Projects
Open for students of :
- Engineering – After 6th semester for atleast 90 days.
- MCA/ME/MTech – After 1st semester for atleast 120 days.
- BSc/Diploma – Final year for atleast 90 days.
- PhD – after course work completion for atleast 90 days.
All the students wanting to pursue Academic Project Work shall possess an aggregate of Min.60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10.
Eligibility conditions & Duration – Internships
- Internship Opportunity shall be extended for UG / PG / PhD students pursuing BE/BTech/MCA/ME/MTech/Phd or have completed within six months of the application.
- The duration of the internship work will be around 45 days.
- The student shall possess an aggregate of Min. 60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10
- Guide’s availability is a critical factor
- Seats are limited
Documents to be submitted
- Letter of Recommendation from the Head of Dept/Principal/Placement Officer of the college also mentioning duration of the project, with start and end dates. The letter of recommendation should be addressed to Group Director, Training, Education and Outreach Group, NRSC.
- CV / biodata/ resume which includes marks obtained from Xth class onwards.
- Copies of mark sheets as applicable and any other relevant document.

- Students are discouraged to send mails to any NRSC mail ID other than that specified here. Sending mails to multiple persons may lead to disqualification.
- For Student Projects & Internships students should apply at least 30 days in advance.
Deadline
Applications are recieved throughout the year but students need to apply atleast 30 days proir to the start of the program.
Selection and Joining
How will you know about the selection?
The selected students will be informed through email. Remember to add your email ID in the resume, as all the correspondence after receiving your application will be done through email only.
On being selected the student is required to give the joining date and other details as mentioned in their approval letter.
Facilities
Student Projects & Interface Division, Training , Education & Outreach Group of National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) at Jeedimetla, provides an opportunity to students for carrying out projects as part of fulfilment of Research work, Post-Graduation and Under-graduate courses. The selected data available with NRSC projects can be used for the research and analysis. Computer systems are provided in the labs with required software licenses.
