About Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre

Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) is the centre for design, development and realisation of liquid propulsion stages for ISRO’s Launch Vehicles. Development of fluid control valves, transducers, propellant management devices for vacuum conditions and other key components of liquid propulsion systems are also under the purview of this centre. LPSC activities and facilities are spread across its two campuses namely, LPSC, Valiamala, Thriruvananthapuram and LPSC, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India
  • Students pursuing Science/Technology which are relevant to DOS/ISRO programmes only will be considered.
  • The number of students selected for ISRO Internship may vary due to facility constraints. Applying for project does not entitle the student to carry out project at LPSC. It is the discretion of LPSC to accept/reject the application after the screening procedure.
  • Considering the increased demand for projects, it may not be possible to accommodate all the applicants. Therefore, the students are advised to identify other alternative organisations, in case of rejection of their applications.
  • A student will be allowed to pursue one project per degree at ISRO Internship
  • Project is offered to students pursuing & enrolled for regular on-campus BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, BSc/MSc (Chemistry) in a recognized university/institution (India/Abroad). Students pursuing BSc/MSc (Chemistry) can apply for projects only at LPSC, Bengaluru.
  • No stipend/remuneration/financial assistance will be given by LPSC/ISRO during the period of project.
  • The completed application form should be received in HRDD/LPSC at least 45 days prior to the commencement of project work period.
  • Students pursuing B.Tech Degree can preferably apply for group projects with two to four students in a group.
  • Eligibility for applying to ISRO Internship is as follows:

How to Apply?

  • A detailed biodata must be attached separately with educational qualifications, previous projects done (if any), area of interests, work experience (if any), etc.
  • The application form and declaration by student and Principal/HOD should be filled in all respects. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Project work of B.Tech/BE/BSc/Diploma shall be done as a group of maximum four students.
