Job Description
Process Point Technologies seeks highly motivated and skilled interns to join our data science and machine learning team. As an intern, you will be able to work on real-world projects, apply your knowledge, and gain valuable experience in the field. Exceptional performers will be considered for full-time positions upon completion of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing data science and machine learning solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business problems.
- Preprocess, clean, and analyze structured datasets using Python libraries such as pandas or polars.
- Build, train, and optimize machine learning models using techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction.
- Communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in data science and machine learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
- Solid understanding of data manipulation, exploratory data analysis, and feature engineering techniques.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, their underlying mathematical concepts, and their practical applications.
- Ability to work with structured datasets and solve real-world problems using data-driven approaches.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques for effective communication of insights.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
Completed projects that showcase skills in data preprocessing, exploratory analysis, feature engineering, model building, and evaluation.
Demonstrated experience in applying Python, data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, polars), and machine learning algorithms to solve practical problems.
Knowledge of additional tools and technologies such as SQL, Git, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
