About OIP 2025
Outreach Internship Programme (OIP) is one of the research initiatives of IIIT Naya Raipur, to bring students from prominent institutions across the country right here to our campus. The institute has been organizing this programme since 2017. Many students who participated in the previous programme have benefited from this programme, which is evident through the papers published by them in journals and conferences of repute.
With this motivation, this year also, IIIT-NR invites students from all over India to spend 6 to 8 weeks in the institute, carrying out research under the supervision of IIIT-NR faculty members and making use of state-of-art laboratory facilities at IIIT-NR. The OIP programme allows students to participate in ongoing research projects and simultaneously enables them to fulfill the summer internship requirements of their respective academic programs. Selected interns will get the chance to work diligently with motivated researchers to:
- Innovate technical solutions for core research areas
- Create and deliver a pioneering solution for real-life problems
- Publish their work in reputed conferences and journals
- Contribute towards patents filing
Eligibility
- For whom (Eligibility): Students from other reputed institutes pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree are eligible to do an internship in IIIT-NR under the supervision of any faculty member at IIIT-NR.
- The candidate must be from CSE, IT, ECE, ETE, EE, EEE, EI, Mathematics, Physics, Management, and related backgrounds. B.Tech. candidates must be completing their 6th semester (3rd year).
Duration
An intern has to work offline for 6 to 8 weeks to receive a stipend and certificate. Students may join earlier/later as per their academic calendar, but the duration should be at least 6 weeks.

- During application form submission, the candidate must submit a photograph/signature in digital format and recommendation letter from his/her HoD/faculty with an institute seal.

Financial Assistance
- Internship and stay at IIIT Naya Raipur involve some expenditure to be incurred by the interns.
- Summer interns may get a stipend if they work satisfactorily for 6 to 8 weeks. Interns may join earlier/later as per their academic calendar for at least 6 weeks. In other cases, no stipend will be provided; only a certificate will be issued to the intern.
- Only a limited number of stipends are available for summer interns on the recommendation of their faculty supervisor.
