About the Internship

Internship Programme (IP) for 2nd year and 3rd year UG students is a new initiative started by Centre of Excellence in Product Design and Smart Manufacturing (CEPDSM) from the academic year 2024-’25 to introduce research bent of mind in UG students at an early stage and to promote research activities in the centre.

About the Organiser

CEPDSM at MANIT-Bhopal is established in the year 2021 to offer a unique platform for collaboration of advanced technologies in the area of product design and smart manufacturing. The objective of the centre is to design and develop products with concern on social, physical, and ecological environments and also provides opportunities to the students to take real time projects.

The centre is offering post graduate programme in ‘Smart Manufacturing’ and also offers PhD programme for sponsored, self sponsored, and GATE qualified candidates.

Motives

The internship programme motivates UG students

  • to participate in the on-going projects of the centre,
  • to find technical solutions in the selected areas,
  • to model and solve real life problems,
  • to publish their work in reputed journals and conferences, and
  • to register their innovative work as patents

Eligibility

2nd and 3rd Year students pursuing Bachelor’s degree from Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, 1 Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and other related branches of Engineering from reputed technical institutes of India and abroad.

Duration

  • 3rd June to 30th June (one month internship)
  • 3rd June to 15th July (one and a half month internship)

Important dates

  • Online submission of applications: Start date: 20-05-2024
  • Last date of receiving applications: 28-05-2024
  • Announcement of selected candidates: 30-05-2024
  • Reporting date and time: 10:00 AM, 3rd June 2024
  • Submission of Report: 28th June (one month programme) & 13th July (one and a half month programme)

Fee

No tuition fee is charged for the internship programme. An amount of Rs.2500/- (Rupees two thousand and five hundred) will be paid on recommendation of supervisor(s) for students selected under research projects.
