Responsibilities
- Support development of power electronics boards – schematics, component selection, simulation, PCB design, embedded programming etc.
- Support bench marking studies.
- Project work defined will be with mutual understanding with candidate to align with his/her institute academic requirements.
- Apply your power electronics and electrical system knowledge to simulate and analyze complete system models
- Simulate, analyze and design advanced electrical power conversion systems
- Design, develop and implement power converter, control, FPGA/DSP for hybrid electric/more electric applications.
- Develop embedded controls using FPGA and microcontrollers.
- Deliver on technical projects with guidance to meet project requirements.
- Participate in a team on technology programs to enable future design advancements, while demonstrating independence in executing tasks leveraging your technical skills
Required Qualifications
- Fundamental knowledge of power convertors like DC -DC, AC-DC converts.
- Basic knowledge of how electrical circuit are designed and simulated.
- Ability to evaluate components power losses.
- Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
- Knowledge on embedded system programming is plus.
- Master’s in electrical / electronics, power system engineering or its related streams.
- Demonstrated fundamental knowledge in Electrical Engineering, power electronics and control, magnetics for power converter.
- Strong expertise in simulation and analysis of electrical systems and electromechanical systems
- Understanding of power devices and their gate driver
- Experience FPGA/Microcontroller programming
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
- Desired Characteristics
- Research in any one of the following areas: Power Electronics and Control, EMI modeling, wireless power transfer, magnetics for power converters
- Experience in circuit and system simulation tools such as PLECS, Saber, Matlab/Simulink etc.
- Experience FPGA/Microcontroller programming
