Razorpay is a full-stack financial services organisation committed to helping Indian businesses with comprehensive and innovative payment and business banking solutions built over robust technology to address the entire length and breadth of any business’s payment and banking journey. Job Description

Razorpay is looking for an Intern in Product Design with excellent skills to join our design team.
This position is part of our “Resume with Razorpay” program, which focuses on supporting women returning to work after a break.
You are someone who believes that good design has a role in the solution to every problem. You know that design is how things look and feel and how every process evolves.
Even mundane processes from daily life can be made easier with design.
You love products and have great creative skills. You want to own and be responsible for designing and driving products to completion.
You religiously follow Buxton’s rule of producing at least 3 alternatives for every design decision.
You respect the grid and hate all the half-pixel-aligned icons.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Designer, you will:

Take part in product and design ideation, planning and prioritization of our diverse range of products and features.
Drive user research, create detailed user journeys, and make appropriate design decisions based on user behaviour and data. Analyze data models to define design strategies and derive best practices within the team.
Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing and various Business teams, to deliver delightful customer experiences.
Strategize, develop and extend the visual design systems and pattern libraries by developing new and innovative solutions that suit the Razorpay brand.
Take part in creative and holistic thinking across our diverse products and conduct design reviews and status meetings as needed.
Evangelize design within and outside the organization.
Brainstorm and create new directions for Razorpay to make payments easy and accessible to all.
Effectively mentor and inspire a team of designers.
Help the team raise the bar, resolve blockers, prioritize, and break down complex projects into simpler tasks.

Qualifications

As a Senior Product Designer, we expect you to have :

2+ years of experience in designing digital products.
Ability to understand the short and long-term goals of the product and business.
Keen on applying user research, user-needs validation and usability evaluation. Excellent understanding of user-centered design and visual design principles.
You understand the importance of behavioral analytics and you go by data-driven decisioning, when needed.
A good understanding of Frontend principles to guide the team from an engineering point of view.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to the team and leadership.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
