Job Details
Rubrik is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project/Program Manager Intern to join their dynamic team. In this role, the intern will assist in managing the delivery of both on-prem and SaaS products. The intern will support the planning, management, and execution of various technical programs and initiatives each year for the Engineering Organization, spanning across their product portfolio.
Working closely with an experienced team, the intern will gain hands-on experience in driving process improvements throughout the development, validation, and deployment lifecycle. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, understanding the components of delivering large features and initiatives, and addressing the associated technical complexities.
This internship offers the opportunity to learn how to navigate complex situations, evaluate risks, and align with business priorities. The intern will also gain experience in managing tasks within a fast-paced environment while developing technical expertise. Responsibilities will include assisting with metrics improvement, learning to communicate project statuses, and helping deliver new features to the market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of software.
- Managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise.
- Identifying and solving bottlenecks within the software stack.
Role and Responsibilities
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Leadership and functions such as Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support etc. to prioritize, plan, and deliver new features and products to the market.
- Assisting in the communication of schedules, status, and issues to stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identifying potential risks and assisting in the development of mitigation plans.
- Collaborating with development teams to aid in addressing and resolving issues that may impact timelines.
Continuous Improvement:
- Assisting in the evaluation and improvement of processes.
- Recommending tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and automation.
Qualifications and Required Skill Sets
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Previous coursework or intern experience in Product/Program Management, Quality Engineering, or Software Development.
- Basic understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud services, and release management tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- An interest or experience in applying Agile development methodologies in a 24×7 operational environment is desirable.
