Job Summary: Software Intern
IoTSP team is building leading cellular routers and gateways that make a difference to first responders by enabling better access to critical data, helping utility companies to operate their equipment more environmentally responsible in renewable energy, and providing needed connectivity to remote people and equipment.
Semtech is looking for developers at different positions to join our Vertical Devices team in Pune, India. In this role you will be working with architects and responsible for developing new features for the AirLink Connection Manager product line and AirLink cellular routers. Looking for passionate developer who will understand customer needs and deliver quality product.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contribute to development of the features.
- Participate in design and architectural discussions
- Develop test cases specific to feature and add those to CI framework.
- Bug fixing which include internal as well as customer issues
- Be passionate about the work we do, eager to learn and the difference it makes for our customers.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the important eligibility requirements for this Job:
- Developer with proficiency in C++ and Python
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols like TCP/IP, wifi, 4G/5G
- Working experience on Linux
- Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of github, wireshark
- Debugging skill using gdb
- Good communication skills
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electronic/E&TC Engineering
Desired Skill Sets
- Software development understanding on embedded Linux especially Yocto. Understanding of Linux networking stack, working experience on open-source packages
- Knowledge of security protocol like IPsec
