Job Description
The Chennai team at Rapyuta Robotics is seeking a software intern to assist in the development of cutting-edge, scalable autonomous mobile robots. The intern will work alongside top robotics engineers, contributing to the creation of pioneering robotic solutions by leveraging the company’s cloud robotics platform, rapyuta.io. By 2025, Rapyuta Robotics aims to become the market leader in developing scalable, collaborative, and flexible autonomous robots.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and integrate software for reliable autonomous mobile robots
- Work closely with experienced robotics engineers to build a standard, scalable software stack for various robots and applications
- Improve our development processes and workflows
- Evaluate cutting-edge technologies and assist in deploying them to production
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a B.E. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Experience gained through university courses or equivalent projects
- Proficiency in C++ and Python (academic or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to one or more of the following areas: Robot Navigation, Motion Planning, Move Base / Move Base Flex, Nav2
- Experience with ROS, test-driven development, and CI/CD practices
- Participation in robotics competitions (e.g., RoboCup, DARPA Grand Challenge) and/or contributions to open source projects
