Internship Details
Software engineers (SWEs) at Microsoft collaborate with teams to develop innovative software solutions, focusing on customer needs and product quality. They provide technical guidance to Technical Program Managers and Product Managers, helping them consider user requirements and product specifications. SWEs are expected to learn and adopt new technologies, tools, methods, and processes to enhance their solutions.
Interns at Microsoft work on real-world projects, collaborating with global teams while having fun. They are encouraged to build community, explore their passions, and achieve their goals, all while contributing to cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities
- Applies engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering.
- Quickly learns new engineering methods and incorporates them into work processes.
- Seeks feedback and applies internal or industry best practices to improve technical solutions.
- Demonstrates time management skills and completing software projects in a cooperative team environment.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
- Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
- One year of programming experience in an object-oriented language.
