About IIIT Vadodara
The Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT V) was established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model as an Institute of National Importance. Its goal is to advance knowledge in information technology and provide globally competitive professionals for the IT industry. Key partners include the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, and Tata Consultancy Services. Established in 2013, IIIT V currently operates from temporary premises at the Government Engineering College (Gandhinagar) until its new campus in Vadodara is ready. The Government of Gujarat has provided 62.5 acres of land in Dumad, Vadodara, and an academic block at GEC, Gandhinagar.
Internship Details
IIIT Vadodara is dedicated to promoting academic collaboration and providing students across the country with opportunities to benefit from its dynamic academic environment. To support this, the institute offers an Internship Program for non-IIIT Vadodara students, allowing them to participate in short-term academic and project work under the guidance of its esteemed faculty. The details of the program are outlined below:
Internship Overview
Program Objective: The program allows students from other institutes to undertake internships ranging from 8 weeks to one semester at IIIT Vadodara. This initiative aims to enhance the Institute’s societal contri-bution and visibility while providing a platform for academic exchange.

Internship Guidelines
- External students may undertake coursework, project work, or internships as part of the program.
- Applications must be submitted exclusively via the online application form link provided above.
- Admission for such students is limited to a maximum duration of one semester.
- Application from is scrutinized and recommended by a scrutiny committee.
- External students can participate in coursework if it is explicitly permitted under an MoU between IIIT Vadodara and the student’s home academic or R&D institution.
- Certificates of completion or grade sheets will only be issued to registered external students. Such students are required to pay the applicable institute fees.
