Known as the cradle of Space Sciences in India, the Physical Research Laboratory ( PRL ) was founded in 1947 by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. As a unit of Department of Space, Government of India, PRL carries out fundamental research in selected areas of Physics, Space & Atmospheric Sciences, Astronomy, Astrophysics & Solar Physics, and Planetary & Geo-Sciences.

About Traineeship Programme Walk-In Skill Test

PRL, a premier Scientific and Research Institute announces the following traineeship programme for young, energetic and dynamic candidates for ONE YEAR under the skill development programme

Office Trainee	05	Graduate in Arts/ Commerce/ Management/ ~~ Science/ Law/ Computer Application (with minimum 55% marks) from a recognized University/ Institute (Engineers are not eligible)	₹.23,500/-	15th April
Computer Operator Trainee	02	First class BCA or Diploma in Computer Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized University/ Institute. Preference will be given to those candidates who have obtained degree through regular mode.	₹.23,500/-	15th April

Guidelines

Interested candidates are required to report at Main Gate, Physical Research Laboratory, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad and complete registration between 09.30 am to 11.30 am. Candidates reporting after 11.30 am will not be allowed to participate in walk-in Skill Test. A scrutiny of candidate’s eligibility will be done and only then eligible candidates will be allowed for skill test.
All candidates willing to appear for walk-in Skill Test should compulsorily download application form, from our website:(->Opportunities->Job vacancies). The duly filled-in application form along with self-attested copies of required documents as mentioned in the application format should be presented for scrutiny. Photograph at earmarked place should be pasted.
All the original certificates & a set of xerox copy pertaining to date of birth, education qualification, experience (if any), caste or any other information provided in the application form, be brought and presented for verification. Candidate appearing without application format as mentioned above/originals/copies of documents, Marks sheets/ candidates not fulfilling advertised norms, shall be summarily rejected. The decision taken by PRL shall be final and binding on the candidates.
PRL reserves the right to cancel the walk-in skill test process as announced. All efforts will be made to complete skill test of the eligible candidates screened-in through prima-facie scrutiny on scheduled date. However, if by any unforeseen reason, skill test is not completed on the same day, candidates may have to appear for skill test on next day.
Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected. No interim correspondence will be entertained. Candidates, who have already availed/ are availing similar Traineeship at PRL will not be allowed to participate in the Skill Test (Walk-in Skill Test). PRL reserves the right to cancel the Skill Test (Walk-in Skill Test) process as announced. Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets/mobile/laptop/CDs/pen drive/camera etc., during the Skill Test.
