Responsibilities
- Creating new web-based video editing user-facing features.
- Work on an agile engineering team writing maintainable and scalable code for software components and influencing team decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch software.
- Capable of independently clarifying technical requirements, assessing development estimates and applying a broad range of design approaches.
- Review code of other team members and provide constructive direction.
- Drive continuous improvement of software quality and maintainability of products/features.
- Continuous learning of technology trends, tools, and approaches, including sharing this knowledge with your team.
- Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding.
Requirements
- Experience in contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience;
- 2-4 years of Software Development experience;
- Experience designing highly interactive web applications with performance, scalability, accessibility, usability, design, and security in mind is an added advantage
- Should posses strong coding skills
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development.
- Familiar with building complex web applications.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS)
- Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS
- Video-related programming experience, especially browser-based video
- Strong knowledge of frontend, design patterns
- Intimate knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device development
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components, including appropriate testing
- Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
- WebGL or general graphics programming experience is a plus
- Interested in low-level browser and rendering performance
- Experience working with React, Vue.js
- Interest in video such as After Effects, Premier Pro or iMovie is a plus
