About the Position
Prof. Amit Garg is offering a position of research associate with an opportunity to contribute to national as well as international projects at IIM Ahmedabad. Our research team works in with diverse communities on energy, climate change and sustainable development (state, national and international) across all sectors.
There is a requirement for the position of Research Associate to support the research work in financial modelling for State level energy transitions, Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, and sustainable finance (firm-level financial performance).
The applicant should be knowledgeable in at least two of these. The location would be the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The position is contractual in nature for a prefixed period. The contract period can be extended based on performance after an initial period of 6 months.
Job Description
- Quantitative Analysis and Statistical modelling (Stata/ R/MATLAB and EXCEL) for State level financial modelling
- Analysing Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (ESG, BRSR, TCFD, SASB, SFDR etc)
- Assisting Indian funds in making SFDR-compliant
- Conducting high-quality literature review on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and Sustainable Finance
- Integrating and Analysing disclosure requirements of various countries
- Assisting in secondary data collection and analysis
- Preparing reports
Eligibility
The candidate with experience/ qualification in macro level financial modelling, sustainable finance, sustainable business management, or related fields will be preferred. The candidate should be thorough in understanding government rules/rules/regulations (both domestic and global) related to financial regulations and climate disclosures and draw meaningful information from them. The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and should have a command of statistical tools.
Duration
This is a full-time temporary position funded for one year (including initial period of 6 months), which could be extended based on performance and project requirement.
