About MP Metro

The Government of Madhya Pradesh is implementing Metro Rail Projects in the cities of Bhopal and Indore. M.P. Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has been constituted to implement the metro rail projects in the state.

  • The trail runs in the first phase of the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Network shall be done by the end of September 2023 in Bhopal and Indore about 7 km and 6.3 km respectively.
  • The state government on 19 August 2019 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for metro rail systems in Bhopal and Indore.
  • The metro rail in these two cities will incur a cost of over Rs 14,000 crore and will have a combined sanctioned length of about 59.42 km.
  • MPMRCL is a 50:50 joint venture between the Centre and the State Government.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates appearing or awaiting results on the closing date of application are NOT eligible to apply.
  • Where diploma is essential qualification for the posts as mentioned, candidates holding degree in specified disciplines are also eligible to apply.
  • Diploma or degree will not be considered as higher qualification in place of ITI where ITI is mentioned as the essential educational qualification.
  • The specialization should be clearly mentioned in the degree/certificate.
  • In case, it is not mentioned, the candidate must bring a certificate from the institute clearly stating the specialization at the time of document verification/interview.
  • The candidate should possess degree/diploma/ITI approved by UGC/AICTE/NCVT; from a University/ Technical Boards incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
  • The applicant should possess the essential qualification as on the closing date of application. The level of educational qualifications prescribed for the posts is ESSENTIAL.
  • The candidates shall be required to produce Marks Sheets & Degree/Certificate, at the time of document verification/interview.

Age Limit

  • For all post the minimum age is 18 years — and maximum age limit is 28 years as on July 1st, 2023 and for different categories the age limit shall be as under
  • Relaxation of upper age limit.
    • Scheduled Caste/Schedule Tribe Candidates: 05 years
    • Other Backward Class Candidates: 05 years (However, reservation of OBC shall be subjected to decisions /directions of Honble Courts, time to time, in the matter of petitions pending therein.)
    • Ex. Servicemen: As per Ex-servicemen (Re-employment In Central Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1979 and Gov’ of India orders ‘.sued from time-to-time.
      • Upper age for Ex-servicemen will be length of service+ 03 years.
      • The Ex-servicemen are those who are years, covered in the definition, as per extant rules of Ministry of Defence / Govt. of India.
      • To the extent of service rendered in defence plus three years provided they have put in more than six months service after attestation.
    • PwBD: 10 years (By ten years for PwBD applicants (total 15 years for SC/ST/OBC-NCL, candidates.)
    • For Women: 10 years (By ten years for Women applicants (total 15 years for SC/ST/OBC-NCL, candidates.)

Examination Fee

  • General/OBC: Rs 590 + Including GST
  • SC/ST/EWS (Processing Fee) Rs 295 + Including GST (For MP domicile only)
