Applications are invited for the position of a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the SERB-sponsored CRG project, titled “Analysing Nonlinear Dynamics of Coupled HumanEnvironment Systems” under the supervision of the undersigned, [Project No.: CRG/2022/002788] in the Dept. of Mathematics, IIT Ropar.
About IIT Ropar
At present, the institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programme in the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. This programme is spread over a period of eight semesters.
The institute also offers M.Tech programme in several disciplines including Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also offers M.Sc programme in the following disciplines: Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
Duration
The position is temporary and is available immediately. The position is initially for 1 year and extendable for 2 more years subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
Eligibility
Essential requirements:
- Expertise in nonlinear dynamical systems is preferable.
- Experience in mathematical modelling & simulation is desirable.
- Good track record of quality publications.
- Good communication and writing skills in English.
Qualification: Ph.D. degree holders in any branches of science and engineering are eligible to apply. Candidates preferably less than 35 years of age will be considered.
Fellowship
As per SERB guidelines (INR. 47,000/- p.m. + HRA as per the institute rules will be given if institute accommodation is not provided).
