About ERNET

ERNET India, an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, is under the overall control and guidance of its Governing Council. The Hon’ble Minister for Electronics & Information Technology is the Chairperson of the Council, and the members have been chosen from premier academic & research institutions, government organizations and professional bodies. ERNET India is serving academic and research institutions by innovatively connecting them on Intranet and Internet using appropriate state-of-the-art technologies. Institutions anywhere in the country can now be connected to the ERNET network.

Desired Skill Sets

Formulation of Project Proposals for various ICT requirements of academic and research institutions of the country;
ICT Project Management/implementation, including preparation of project documentation, reports, etc.;
Management Information System, School Management System, Website hosting and management;
Computer Networking, Cyber Security, Wi-Fi campus LAN, 4G and 5G technology,
Smart and Digital Education, VC platform for virtual classes, AR/VR/MR technology;
Procurement in Govt. from GeM, Tender formulation and Bid evaluations.

Qualification

Full-time B.Tech/BE /MCA/M.Sc or equivalent degree in Electronics/Information Technology/Electronics and Communication/ Tele Communication/Computer Science/Computer Application/ Instrumentation/Physics/Project Management/Quantum Communication.

Experience

At least 03 years in the above relevant field post qualification in case of B.Tech/BE/MCA/MSC or equivalent or Minimum 01 year of experience in the above relevant field post qualification in case of M.Tech/ME or equivalent.

The appointment against the above-mentioned positions shall be purely on a contract basis for a fixed duration and against specific approved projects.
Upon selection, the candidate would be appointed initially for a period of one year, which may be extended up to a maximum project duration (not exceeding three years) and/or curtailed based on the performance and requirements of the project. Further, incumbents engaged under a particular project can be transferred to another project during or on completion of the project he/she initially deployed in the organizational interest.
The date of determining the upper age limit, Qualification and/ or experience shall be the date of
interview.
Persons below the age of 18 are not eligible for consideration of selection.
Experience means post-qualification and will be counted after attaining the minimum abovementioned qualification.
Essential qualification should be from a recognized University/ Deemed University/ Institute/ Council, etc.
Monthly remuneration will be subdivided/bifurcated as per applicable finance norms of ERNET India.
Reservation and relaxation as admissible for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ will applicable as per the Govt of India norms, as applicable of ERNET India.
10 Candidates belonging to reserved categories should produce the certificate during the written test/skill test/interview, etc. If called for, it is issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format stipulated by the Government of India.
Failing such candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview /selection test against reserved posts and will not be permitted to claim the relaxation application in case of reserved categories.
In the case of candidates belonging to OBC categories, the certificate should specifically contain the clause that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer section.
ERNET India reserves the right to relax/modify/any eligibility criteria regarding age/qualification/Experience or any other relevant parameters if the candidate is found otherwise suitable.
Canvassing in any manner and bringing outside influence shall make the candidate liable for rejection.
NO TA/DA is admissible to attend the interview.
