Job Description
High-Performance Computing, AI and Labs is a critical elements of HPE. Responsibilities
- Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
- Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
- Participates as a member of a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portions or subsystems.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Required Skill Sets
- Proven experience as a Python Developer.
- Previous work on software development projects using Python.
- Proven experience in developing command-line applications using Python.
- Familiarity with libraries and frameworks for building command-line interfaces (e.g., argparse, click, cmd2,ishell)
- Experience with database systems, such as Lucene, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Ability to design and optimize database schemas.
- Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and task automation.
- Strong Linux Skills
- Strong Bash scripting Skill
- Strong understanding of Design patterns and can apply them
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of API authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like pytest.
- Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) practices.
- Strong debugging and optimization skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and propose effective solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working in an Agile team environment.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of best practices for application security.
- Awareness of common security vulnerabilities and how to address them.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
