About
Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) is a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) which comes under the Ministry of Defence. Located in Chandigarh, the laboratory has become one of the major DRDO labs in the field of armament studies. TBRL is organized under the Armaments Directorate of DRDO.
The present director of TBRL is Shri. Prateek Kishore. TBRL was envisaged in 1961 as a modern armament research laboratory under the Department of Defence Research & Development.
TBRL envisage self-reliance in the development of technologies related to warheads and provide state-of–the-art diagnostics facilities for assessment of terminal effects of armaments systems
Eligibility Criteria
Research Associate (RA) – Physics [2 Positions]: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Physics OR Post Graduation in Physics and 03 (Three) years of experience in Research, Teaching or Design and Development with the publication of at least one paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Research Associate (RA) – Mechanical Engg [01 Position]: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engg OR M. Tech/M.E. in Mechanical Engg and 03 (Three) years of experience in Research, Teaching or Design and Development with the publication of at least one paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Age Limit
Maximum of 35 years on the date of walk-in interview.
Tenure
Purely on a temporary basis, for two years only.
Fellowship
Rs. 54,000/- plus HRA.

- Complete biodata and attested copies of Marks sheets/ Certificates (10th onwards), caste certificate, and experience certificate, should be brought at the time of Walk-in-interview along with a recent passport-size photograph.
