About the Role
India Gold Policy Centre (IGPC) at IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) is hiring a full-time Research Associate to support project-based data analysis. The Research Associate will be a skilled Data Analyst and is expected to work independently within the scope of assigned tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to collecting, analysing & interpreting data, preparing reports and presentations, and managing social media posts. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, highly active, and productive academic, will be expected to do research, and also support the Centre in its activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have a B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent in any discipline) or a B.S./B.A. in economics, finance, or management degree from a top-tier institution with excellent English-language skills.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Must be able to independently administer/manage surveys and be proficient in data analysis independently.
- Proficiency in working on tools like Tableau, STATA, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Ability to work with MS Office or equivalent platform to work on presentation slides, data worksheets, and visualization of data analysis.
- Professional work experience (of 1 to 5 years) in a similar role is desirable.
- Age: Max. 35 years as of the last date of application.
Job Responsibilities
- Data collection from various sources, managing primary surveys and market research.
- Organize and maintain datasets, implementing efficient data storage and retrieval systems.
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis and interpretation employing statistical tools and techniques to analyze and visualize complex datasets.
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in geological and market data.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop predictive models and simulations.
- Writing detailed reports and making presentations.
- To update the Gold Dashboard on the IGPC-IIMA website.
- To handle social media and liaise with the Communication team for media updates
- To work on household survey and other research projects and write articles, policy briefs, reports, and cases independently and in collaboration with the Centre Head and the Institute’s Faculty.
- To provide editorial support across all research and publishing activities within the Centre
- To provide proofreading and formatting support on the Centre’s outputs
