Job Description
We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer Trainee to design and build robotics applications and devices. You’ll use computer-aided modeling to create drafts and perform tests on the robots to ensure safety and quality. For this job, you should have deep knowledge of flexible automation and computer systems and also possess an aptitude for cost and efficiency optimization. If you also have a great deal of resourcefulness and a vision of what your machines can do, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver application-specific solutions using the current robotics application Framework.
- Application development for mobile robot navigation and robotic manipulator control.
- Perform bug fixing and improvement of the current application framework using Reverse Engineering.
- Design and implement tools to facilitate application development and testing.
- Development of robotic agnostic mapping system and application.
- Test AI/ML algorithms in simulation environments and real-world robotics setups to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and efficiency standards.
- Work on integrating AI/ML models into robotic hardware and software, ensuring efficient real-time performance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS) is mandatory. Knowledge on robotics 2D/3D mapping
- Localization & navigation algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with Lidar sensor and stereo camera.
- Proficiency in a couple of types of mainstream programming languages preferably C/C++, Python.
- Knowledge of specific libraries for image processing preferably OpenCV.
- Basic experience in software architecting.
- Able to use tools to manage source code, preferably Git, GitLab.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of AI/ML algorithms for robotics applications such as path planning, object detection, and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- B.Tech/M.Tech in computer science/Robotics or related field with a focus on AI or Machine Learning
