MyGov is now inviting experienced and skilled professionals to join its development team. The position requires deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing WordPress-based websites and applications, along with the ability to keep pace with evolving industry trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development tasks, contributing to high-quality, scalable, and responsive digital platforms. Major responsibilities include:
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Ability to interpret and implement CSS changes ensuring style consistency across platforms and browsers.
- Converting comprehensive layouts and wireframes into functional HTML pages.
- Proficiency in PHP and back-end WordPress development.
- Designing, implementing, and managing websites using WordPress.
- Managing both front-end and back-end website development.
- Creating custom WordPress plugins and themes.
- Maintaining structured, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshooting and resolving website issues for internal teams.
- Staying updated on the latest software advancements, technologies, and development practices.
- Proficiency in core WordPress API, custom module development, and contributed modules.
- Working with MySQL databases, RESTful APIs, AJAX, JSON, XML, React JavaScript, and CSS.
- Familiarity with MySQL, NoSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB and related technologies.
Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Prior experience building user interfaces for web applications and websites.
- Expertise in developing responsive and mobile-friendly websites.
- Comfort with debugging tools such as Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
- Exposure to web and mobile development environments.
- Experience working on scalability and replication challenges.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with version control tools like GitLab, Git, SVN, CVS.
- Knowledge of NoSQL-based solutions (preferred but not mandatory).
Contract and Probation Details
- The role begins with a 3-month probation period from the date of joining.
- MyGov may extend or reduce the probation period based on performance.
- Completion of probation does not guarantee absorption into a regular contract.
- After successful completion of the initial contract period, candidates may be offered a regular contract.
