Job Description

  • Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience.
  • The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material.
  • Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for working with engineering and product management to document new features.
  • You will also update the documents to address customer feedback and internal bug reports.
  • You will have access to a team of writers in the Cloud organisation, with opportunities to collaborate around tools, processes, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Planned, designed, write, and publish technical documentation for the Cloud Firestore database service including critical customer user journeys, concepts, how-to guides, and API reference documentation for enterprise customers.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, UX researchers, and User Interface partners to identify the critical user journeys and create information architectures that help customers through those journeys.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Database writers to refine ways of working to deliver a customer experience.
  • Work with functional partners to manage and prioritize the technical writing workload.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Experience in technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing.
  • Experience with Databases, SQL, NoSQL, or Cloud products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience producing technical documentation for a technical audience and enterprise cloud services.
  • Experience with HTML or markdown, or a Unix environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary

₹ 1,28,800 – ₹ 1,33,228/month
