About LMRC
Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (LMRC), a 50:50 jointly owned Company of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, has been reconstituted as per approval of the Government as single SPV by rechristening it as “Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (UPMRC)” for implementation of Metro Rail projects in various cities in the State of Uttar Pradesh and has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation and operation of the rail based Mass Rapid Transit System (Metro) in Kanpur and Agra cities. Metro is operational in Lucknow, Kanpur (priority corridor) and Agra (priority corridor). The works of the Kanpur Metro Project and Agra Metro Project for the balance corridor are in full swing.

Qualification
- The candidates, while applying for the posts, should have essential educational qualifications as per the notification on the closing date of the application form.
- The minimum marks in the required educational qualification for various categories will be 60% for candidates applying for UR, EWS, and OBC vacancies and 50% for candidates for vacancies reserved for SC/ST (Post Codes—E01 to E04, E06 to E08, and NE01 to NE08).
- No minimum percentage of marks is required for the post of Assistant Manager (Accounts) (Post Code-E05).
- For the post of Assistant Company Secretary (Post Code-E09), the candidate should be a Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India with a minimum of 50% marks from Govt. a recognized University/ Institute.
Selection Process
- Written Exam: This round is designed to shortlist candidates by testing their technical knowledge, reasoning abilities, and general awareness through MCQs.
- Document Verification: Candidates who clear the written examination must present original documents and certificates for verification during the document verification process.
- Medical Examination: The final stage of the selection process is a comprehensive medical exam to evaluate the candidates’ physical fitness and medical health.
Training and Probation
- The selected candidates on appointment will be on Probation for a period of two years (including a period of training), where they will undergo intensive training for the prescribed duration.
- The Corporation has the right to enhance or reduce the training period for all trainees at its discretion.
- The corporation can terminate the candidate’s service during the probation period if the candidate’s performance is found to be unsatisfactory under the terms and conditions of the offer of appointment.
- The probation period will exclude LWP or EOL.
- After successfully completing the probation period, candidates are likely to be confirmed in UPMRC on a permanent basis, depending upon their satisfactory performance.
