About Reliance Foundation UG Scholarships
The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships aims to support meritorious students from all corners of the country with an undergraduate college education, empowering them to continue their studies, become successful professionals and realize their dreams, unlocking their potential to lift themselves and their communities up and contributing towards India’s future socio-economic development.
During the 2023-24 academic cycle, Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will award this merit-cum-means scholarship to meritorious undergraduate students to continue their education in any stream of their choice.
Half of India’s population, or over 600 million Indians, are under the age of 25. Reliance Foundation is committed to strengthening young people’s access to higher education in India. The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships aim to support up to 5,000 meritorious students based on a merit-cum-means criteria for their undergraduate college education, empowering them to continue their studies without financial burden. The Scholarships aim to enable students to become successful professionals and realize their dreams, unlocking their potential to lift themselves and their communities up and contributing towards India’s future socio-economic development.
Students with a household income of under Rs. 15 lakh who are enrolled in first year of their undergraduate studies pursuing any subject stream can apply. The programme will also aim to encourage applications by girls and specially-abled students.
Selected scholars will receive a scholarship of up to 2 lakhs over the duration of their degree programme. In addition to the scholarship grant, the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will provide scholars an opportunity to be part of a vibrant alumni network and an enabling support system that will create long-term impact on their lives and career trajectories.
Eligibility
- Be a resident Indian citizen
- Passed Standard 12th with minimum 60%
- Currently enrolled in 1st year regular full-time degree course in any stream
- Students having House Hold income < Rs. 15 Lakhs (preference given to < Rs. 2.5 Lakhs)
- Aptitude Test is mandatory
Scholarship Features
- Support meritorious students from all corners of the country with an undergraduate college education

- Up to 5,000 undergraduate scholars will be selected
- The total amount of scholarship available over the duration of the degree programme, will be up to Rs/INR 2 Lakhs

Aptitude Test
- The online Aptitude test is mandatory for all applicants.
- Test duration will be 60 mins and will contain 60 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Components of the test include verbal ability, analytical and logical ability and numerical ability.
Initial Selection
First Level Selection- Applications will be evaluated using a combination of aptitude test score, academic and personal information.
Announcement
- Announcement of Scholars – Up to 5,000 scholars.
- All candidates will be evaluated on the basis of merit cum means.

Which students are not eligible for the scholarship?
Students who are in the 2nd year or higher
Students pursuing their degree through online, remote, distance or any other non-regular modes
Students who have passed diploma after std. 10th
Students pursuing 2 year undergraduate degree courses
Students who do not answer the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test
What are the eligible institutes?
Students from any NAAC/UGC accredited institute are eligible to apply.
Is there an age limit to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships?
There is no age limit to apply to the scholarship, provided you fulfil the registration criteria
What are the eligible programmes at undergraduate level?
Students pursuing any full-time undergraduate degree programme can apply for the scholarship. If your degree programme is not on the list, please email us at RF.UGScholarships@reliancefoundation.org and we will add your programme to the list.

Yes, you can apply for this scholarship if you have received a Reliance Foundation Scholarship before.
