The Open Challenge Program (OCP) is a platform set up by STPI, where startups get an opportunity to solve problems through innovative solutions. STPI looks to identify and support promising startups working towards digital transformation products/solutions.
About Opportunity
The Open Challenge Program 3.0 is targeted at promoting R&D, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Industry 4.0 domain. The selected startups would be given physical infrastructure, funding assistance, access to networks, connections, learning and resources needed for building a scalable, profitable, and global business.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Promote innovation & entrepreneurship in Industry 4.0
- Help domestic startups become global companies
- Generate employment opportunities and increase economic & social growth
Required Skill Sets
Startups should be working in a domain related to software product development and Industry 4.0, which includes technologies like Industrial IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Industrial Automation, and more.
Eligibility
Open to Indian startups working in a related domain. Start-ups registered with DPIIT under the Startup India programme are encouraged to participate. Individual academicians, researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, partnership firms, and LLPs may also participate.
Qualification
Start-ups should be in any of the following stages: ideation, validation, early traction, or scaling stage.
How to Apply
Apply through the Apply Now link provided. After receiving the innovative ideas/solutions in the prescribed format within the specified timeline, a screening process will be done based on relevancy. Relevant submissions will be shortlisted and called for selection through pitching/ Presentation.
Additional Sections
Selection Process: Screening, evaluation, and selection will be done by designated committees. Financial Incentives: A seed funding of up to Rs. 4.00 Lakhs will be provided for each beneficiary. Timeline: Application submission starts on 30th November 2023 and ends on 30th December 2023. The results will be announced on 22nd January 2024.
