About NITH

National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is one of the thirty-one NITs of the country, which came into existence on 7th August 1986 as Regional Engineering College, a joint and cooperative enterprise of the Govt. of India and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. At the time of inception, Institute had only two departments i.e, Civil and Electrical Engineering having an intake of 30 students in each.

NIT Hamirpur invites applications through online mode i.e. Google Form from eligible candidates for the position of ”Apprentices for Construction & Maintenance Section, Computer Centre” under the Apprentices Act. The appointment shall be for a period of One Year from 01-04-2025 as per guidelines provided in the Apprentices Act.

Guidelines

This Training Module is prepared in accordance with Endstt No NIT/HMR/Admin/EA- 4/Misc/BOG/2023/1094-99 dated 19-01-2023 for the pass out students of Diplomat Engineering in Civil, Electrical and computer sGience engineering. Who would like to take up Apprenticeship at Construction & Maintenance Section and Computer Centre, NIT Hamirpur

  • Planning the expansion and diversification of institutional activities and preparation of all development proposals, to the extent up to submission of plan & estimates related to Civil, electrical, Works, sanitary, network system etc.
  • Maintenance of all necessary statistical data regarding plan & projects required for compilation of various reports periodically.
  • Monitoring the physical targets and utilization of funds in respect of Projects & Consultancy and in the preparation of relevant papers for submission of progress reports.
  • Providing necessary data for the budget and new estimates & plans to the Building & Works Committee.
  • Apprentices are expected to work according to construction and maintenance section (Civil & Electrical) and Computer Centre along with different sections of NIT Hamipur on a rotation basis.
  • Apprentices in Computer Centre are expected to work in the field of C/Python language, Microsoft office and networking.
